BOAT DIVER CERTIFICATION
Continuing Education - Specialty Training 2012:
Often the best dive sites (those with clearer water, greater diversity of life and interesting underwater terrain) are located off shore and can only be accessed by boat.
The Boat Diving Specialty Course will teach you the necessary skills for safe and enjoyable boat diving and should be part of every diver's training program.
To ensure that you become a safe and confident boat diver you will receive detailed training on correct entry, descent and ascent procedures, information on peak buoyancy control, deeper diving techniques, computer use and underwater navigation skills.
Learn the following skills for safe and enjoyable boat diving:
- Getting on and off all types of dive boats in all types of conditions
- Becoming familiar with boating terms and protocol
- Packing and storing scuba and specialty equipment
- Avoiding sea sickness
- Travelling and staying comfortable on boats and live-a-boards
- Selecting the best dive boat

PRE-REQUISITES: Open Water Diver Certification
INCLUSIONS: SSI Course Manual & DVD, Theory Session, 2 Boat Training Dives, SSI Specialty Diver Cert. Card
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: Scuba Equipment (available for hire), Safety Stop Anchor, Safety Whistle
LOCATION: Boat charters available ex Sydney, Jervis Bay (NSW South Coast) & Port Stephens (NSW North Coast)
PRICE: Course $210.00 plus boat charter costs ex Sydney. This course can also be combined with Sub Aquatics' WEEKEND DIVE SAFARIS to Jervis Bay or Port Stephens.
